Great Lakes Liquid Bulk Cargoes
Hannah Marine Corporation owns and operates the largest fleet of ABS load lined, U.S. Flag, double hulled tank barges on the Great Lakes. The current fleet has a per trip capacity of over 385,000 bbl. These ice strengthened tank vessels, coupled with Hannah's tug fleet, are designed to move heavy oils, asphalt, gasoline, diesel, calcium chloride, caustic and liquid fertilizer, on a year-round basis, throughout the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway system.
Great Lakes Dry Bulk/Cargoes/Ship Management
Hannah Marine Corporation currently operates one self-propelled bulk carrier and an articulated tug/barge unit delivering dry bulk cement throughout the Great Lakes. So, in addition to owning and operating vessels, our staff has the ability to assist customers with any and all ship management activities including customer vessel new builds.
Inland River System
Hannah Marine Corporation has two heavy oil/asphalt unit tows employed delivering cargoes along the entire inland river system. These unit tows regularly visit the ports of Houston and New Orleans and on any given day, may be seen on the Ohio or Illinois Rivers. To schedule cargo movements, our 24 Hr. dispatcher is always available.
Gulf of Mexico Operations
Hannah Marine Corporation recently started operations moving dry bulk cement in the Gulf of Mexico. Our expert staff was able to analyze the customer's needs and develop a custom program to ensure reliable, effective movement of the customer's cargo.
Extensive Coverage
As Hannah Marine vessels are transiting the lakes and rivers and routinely seen in ports from Duluth, Milwaukee, Toledo, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and a variety of Canadian ports, Hannah Marine vessels are generally positioned to offer speedy and secure cargo transport. Hannah Marine pioneered techniques for loading/offloading
cargoes in remote areas with no dock facilities, making cargo transfer both safe and
efficient.
General Marine Towing
Hannah Marine Corporation's General Marine Towing Division provides round-the-clock towing and fleeting services to inland river carriers throughout the Chicago area. Carriers rely on Hannah's expertise to safely move river barges to and from southern Lake Michigan ports as well as specialty tows throughout Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes. Hannah Marine vessels have towed everything from submarines to tall ships, and are always available to meet your requirements.
Articulated Tug/Barge Units
Hannah Marine Corporation was the first operator of the articulated tug/barge unit on the Great Lakes in 1981. We currently operate two such units and are always ready to expand the benefits of these types of units with new and old customers.
